MANIKGANJ, Jan 5, 2026 (BSS) - Ferry services on the Aricha-Kazirhat route over the Jamuna River resumed after around 10 hours of suspension due to heavy fog.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Arichaghat Manager Md Abdullah said ferry movement resumed at 9:20 am today, adding that all ferries are now operating normally with full loads.

He said ferry services had been suspended from 11:30 pm on Sunday to avoid accidents as dense fog blanketed the riverbed, reducing visibility to a dangerous level.
