Testimony in plot scam case against Hasina, Tulip, 16 others ends

DHAKA, Jan 05, 2026 (BSS) – The testimony in a case against 18 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, her nieces Tulip Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq, over alleged irregularities in allocating a plot in the RAJUK New Town Project.
 
Investigation officer, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Assistant Director Afnan Jannat Keya, today testified at the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 and was later cross-examined by the defence. After the conclusion of her cross-examination, Judge Robiul Alam brought the testimony to an end and set January 8 for the placing statement by the defence.
 
A total of 31 witnesses testified in the case.
 
The ACC filed the case against 16 on January 13, 2025, and filed a charge sheet on March 10 against the 18.
