JU to regularise residence of students living in non-allotted halls

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Jan 15, 2026 (BSS) - The Jahangirnagar University 
(JU) administration has decided to regularise the residence of students who 
are living in halls other than those officially allotted to them.

The decision applies to students of the 50th, 51st and 52nd batches, 
according to university authorities, said acting Registrar A B M Azizur 
Rahman, confirming the matter to BSS today.

He said the decision was taken at the university syndicate meeting held on 
January 11, resolving that students residing in non-allotted halls would be 
allowed to change their hall allotment subject to application.

"The detailed application procedure, criteria and other related processes 
will be announced soon through an office order," he added.
