MANIKGANJ, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - The ferry movement between Paturia-Daulatdia was resumed after about four hours which had been disrupted due to dense fog.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC), Paturia Ghat Deputy General Manager (DGM) Abdus Salam stated that ferry movement was suspended between Paturia-Daulatdia at about 2:30 am due to poor visibility, as dense fog had blanketed the river route.

During the suspension, all ferries were anchored at both the Paturia and Daulatdia Ghats. After four hours, ferry movement started when the fog disappeared, the DGM added.
