24 DU students get ‘Chair’s Award’

DHAKA, Jan 24, 2026 (BSS)- A total of 24 students of the Department of International Relations of the University of Dhaka were awarded the ‘Chair’s Award’ in recognition of their outstanding performance in various examinations.

The awards were presented today at a ceremony held in the department’s auditorium. 

Seventeen students of the 13th and 14th batches of the BSS (Honours) and MSS (Masters) examinations received the award for their excellent results, while seven students were honoured for exceptional performance in the PMIR examination.

Chairman of DU IR department Professor A S M Ali Ashraf presided over the event with Ambassador Muhammad Abdul Muhit, Rector of the Foreign Service Academy, and Professor Ehsanul Haq, Director of the PMIR programme as guests.

The awardees are: Khondkar Tahmid Rezwan, Kawsar Uddin, Nur Nahar Sukanna, Kazi Ashjad Hossain, Rafiul Karim, Tahia Afra Jannati, Kawsar Uddin Mahmud, Anim Shahriar Mouno, Nusrat Tasnim, Faria Islam, Tabassum Elahi, Syeda Mubashwir Mahjabin Nahian, Ferdousi Zaman, Muzahidur Rahman Sufi, Ahmad Shams Kadir, Zahidur Rahim, Sheikh Mohammad Hasib Aziz, Md. Shoeb Rifat Omi, Md. Rafiqur Rahman, and Gazi Mostafa Fuad.
