Labour Party joins Jamaat-led electoral alliance

DHAKA, Jan 24, 2024 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Labour Party has joined the 10-party electoral alliance led by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

Jamaat Assistant Secretary General and its National Election Management Committee Convener Maulana ATM Masum made the announcement at a press conference at the party's central office in Dhaka's Moghbazar this evening.

Labour Party Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Iran was also present at the press conference.

With the inclusion of the Labour Party, the alliance once again comprises 11 parties. They are - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, Khelafat Majlis, Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan, Bangladesh Nezam-e-Islam Party, Bangladesh Development Party, Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (NDP), National Citizen Party (NCP), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), AB Party, and Bangladesh Labour Party.
