25 more dengue patients hospitalized in 24 hours

DHAKA, Jan 29, 2026 (BSS) - Twenty-five more people were hospitalized with dengue across the country in the last 24 hours with no death reports during the period.

A report from Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said today.

According to the report, among the newly hospitalized patients, three were admitted in Barishal Division (outside city corporations), four in Chattogram 
Division (outside city corporations), two in Dhaka Division (outside city corporations), four in Dhaka North City Corporation, five in Dhaka South City 
Corporation, two in Khulna Division (outside city corporations), one in Mymensingh Division (outside city corporations) and four in Rajshahi Division 
(outside city corporations).

During the same period, 19 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. With this, a total of 920 patients have been released from hospitals so far 
this year.

Since the beginning of the year, 1,050 dengue cases have been reported nationwide, of which 63.4 percent were male and 36.6 percent female. 

Two deaths from dengue have been recorded so far this year.Last year, a total of 102,861 dengue cases were reported, with 413 deaths.
