14 more dengue patients hospitalized in last 24hrs

DHAKA, Feb 1, 2026 (BSS) - Fourteen more people were hospitalized with dengue 
across the country in the last 24 hours with no death reports during the 
period.

A statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said this 
evening.

Of the newly-hospitalized patients, three were admitted in Barishal Division 
(outside the city corporations), four in Chattogram Division (outside the 
city corporations), three in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), one in 
Khulna Division (outside the city corporations) and another in Rajshahi 
Division (outside the city corporation), the report said.

During the same period, 20 dengue patients were discharged from different 
hospitals. With this, a total of 949 patients have been released from the 
hospitals, so far, this year.

Since the beginning of the year, 1,095 people were reportedly infected with 
dengue nationwide. Of them, 63.7 percent were male and 36.3 percent female.
 
Last year, a total of 1, 02861 dengue cases were reported, with 413 deaths, 
the report added.
