17 dengue patients hospitalized

DHAKA, Feb 3, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 17 dengue patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours till this morning, according to a press release issued by Directorate General of Health Services here. 

But no death was reported during the period.  

Among them, six patients are in Barishal division, three in Chattogram division, one in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), two in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and two in Khulna division.

Besides, some 18 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours. 

With this, a total of 1,027 patients have been discharged so far this year.

The total number of dengue cases has reached at 1,130 this year. Of them, 63.5 percent are male and 36.5 percent are female. However, three people have died from dengue this year.

A total of 1,02,861 dengue cases were reported from January 01 to December 31 in 2025, with 413 deaths.

In 2024, a total of 1,01,214 dengue cases were recorded, and 575 people died from the disease.
