14 fresh dengue cases detected overnight

DHAKA, Feb 18, 2026 (BSS) - Health officials today said they recorded 14 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours.

"We recorded 14 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in 24 hours ending at 8 am today," a spokesman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

"Out of the 14 fresh cases, nine were hospitalised in Barishal division, four in Khulna division and one Rajshahi, a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.

Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year claimed four lives and inflicted 1,361 people.

The dengue last year claimed 413 lives and inflicted 1,02,861 people in the country.

Besides, the dengue claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in 2024.
