Zaima Rahman joins iftar mahfil with women, children in Bhasantek

DHAKA, Feb 19, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman today took part in an iftar gathering with women and orphaned children in the city’s Bhasantek area.

On the occasion of the holy Ramadan, as part of an initiative to provide iftar, dinner, and sehri for the entire month to 14 orphanages and hifz madrasas in the Korail slum and Bhasantek area of Dhaka-17 constituency, Zaima Rahman joined today’s iftar.

Various orphaned children and elderly women from the area participated in the event.

During the event, Zaima Rahman talked with the children and listened to their various questions. Later, she also spoke with the women who took part in the iftar gathering.

Before iftar, everyone joined in prayer, and afterwards they broke their fast together.
