EC to observe National Voters’ Day on March 2

DHAKA, Feb 21, 2026 (BSS)- The Election Commission (EC) will observe National Voters’ Day on March 2, 2026, as in previous years.

“Cabinet division has set the date for National Voters’ Day. However, the final programme for the day would be confirmed tomorrow or the day after”, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed told BSS today.

As in previous years, National Voters’ Day would be observed with due dignity on March 2, and all necessary preparations are being made on the occasion, he said.

According to the EC, the total number of registered voters in the country currently stands at 127,711,793, including 64,825,361 male voters, 62,885,200 female voters, and 1,232 transgender voters.
