Stipend provided to poor, underprivileged students in the city

RAJSHAHI, April 9, 2026 (BSS) - Under the education support and merit scholarship program initiated by the Ladies Organization for Social Welfare 
(LOFS), scholarships have been awarded to 18 poor and underprivileged students in the city.
 
On Thursday afternoon, at a ceremony held at the city hall, Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation, Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, attended as the chief guest 
and distributed the scholarship funds among the students.
 
At the event, he thanked LOFS for its contribution to improving education for dropout children.

Addressing the students, he said they must equip themselves with proper education so that they can contribute to the country's development in the future. "We are beside you," he added.
 
The event was chaired by LOFS Executive Director Shahnaz Parveen Lucky. 

The program was conducted by LOFS Program Officer Mukta Sarkar. Among others, LOFS Program Manager Md Salauddin, Program Officer Sampa Khatun, and Program Assistant Fahmida Ahmed Smriti were present.
