US launches Founders Museum in Dhaka

DHAKA, April 29, 2026 (BSS) - US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen today inaugurated the American Founders Museum in Dhaka, showcasing the ideas, leaders and events behind America's independence at the Edward M. Kennedy Center.

The museum was opened at the centre as part of Freedom 250, the year-long observance of the 250th anniversary of the United States, said a US Embassy press release here.

According to the mission, the exhibition was developed under a White House initiative in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education and PragerU.

The exhibition highlights the principles, personalities and historic milestones that shaped the American independence movement.

The embassy said smaller versions of the museum would also be installed at five additional American Corners in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Rajshahi and Sylhet to widen public access to the exhibition.
