DHAKA, June 7, 2026 (BSS)- The government has appointed Prof Dr. Md. Tozammel Hossain in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia, as the new Vice-Chancellor of Meherpur University.
This information was announced today through a notification from the Ministry of Education.
The notification said, Professor Dr. Md. Tozammel Hossain has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Meherpur University in accordance with Section 10(1) of the Meherpur University Act, 2023 (Amended-2025).
Regarding the terms of the appointment, it stated that the duration of his tenure as Vice-Chancellor will be for the next 4 years from the date of joining, or until the date of his retirement, whichever takes place earlier.
