DMP enforces traffic system filing 2,167 cases for traffic rules violators

DHAKA, June 15, 2026 (BSS) – The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 2,167 cases for violating traffic rules in different parts of the capital during the last 24 hours till last evening.

Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of DMP NM Nasiruddin said that the DMP traffic division conducted a campaign against traffic breakers till 6.00 pm on Sunday. 

He said that the DMP traffic police dumped 376 motor vehicles and towed 288 vehicles during the campaign against traffic rule violations on June 14.

During the drives, DMP filed 77 cases under Ramna zone, 194 cases under Lalbagh zone, 436 cases under Motijheel zone and 279 cases under Wari zone, 159 cases under Tejgaon zone, 360 cases under Mirpur zone, 427 cases under Uttara zone, 235 cases under Gulshan zone.

The DMP’s Traffic Division has vowed to continue drives to maintain discipline on Dhaka’s roads.
