
DHAKA, June 25, 2026 (BSS) - One more person died from dengue in the country during the last 24 hours while 198 new patients were admitted to different
hospitals during the same period.
The information was disclosed in a dengue-related press release issued today by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate
General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the release, of the patients admitted to hospitals with dengue in the last 24 hours, 49 were from Barishal Division (outside the city
corporation areas), 15 from Chattogram Division (outside the city corporation areas), 26 from Dhaka Division (outside the city corporation areas), 28 from
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 31 from Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 13 from Mymensingh Division (outside the city corporation areas), five from Rajshahi Division (outside the city corporation areas) and 31 from Khulna Division (outside the city corporation areas).
During the same period, 148 dengue patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.
With this, a total of 5,067 dengue patients have been released from hospitals while 5,515 people have been infected with dengue, so far, this year. Of them, 62.2 percent are male and 37.8 percent female.
This year, death toll from the mosquito-borne disease has reached 13.
From January 1 to December 31, 2025, a total of 102,861 people were infected with dengue and 413 deaths were recorded from the disease.
In 2024, a total of 101,214 dengue cases were reported, while 575 people died from the disease.
