CA orders immediate steps to mitigate Ctg waterlogging

DHAKA, Jan 9, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today directed the authorities concerned to take immediate steps to resolve the waterlogging problem in Chattogram.

He came up with the directives at a meeting of the council of advisers here.

Speaking at a press briefing at Foreign Service Academy here about the outcomes of the meeting, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said waterlogging is common in Chattogram during the monsoon.

The chief adviser has instructed the authorities concerned to resolve the waterlogging problem as soon as possible, he said.

Alam said the city's traffic congestion issue was also discussed in detail at today's meeting of the council of advisers and quick steps will be visible in the coming days to improve the traffic situation.

Adviser Mahfuj Alam and Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretaries Abul Kalam Azad Majumder and Apurba Jahangir were present at the press briefing.
