DHAKA, Jan 2, 2025 (BSS) – Police arrested two miscreants with foreign made pistol and six-rounds of bullets in capital’s Uttar Badda.

The arrestees were identified as Md Jewel, 36 and Jewel, alias Christian Jewel, 32, said a media release of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today.

Acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of Badda police station conducted a drive at 10:15pm on Wednesday as they came to know that two miscreants with firearms were staying in front of house of Khanka Sharif Road of Uttar Badda.

Sensing the police presence, they tried to flee the scene, but the law enforcer managed to round them up.

At that time, a 9 mm pistol and the bullets were recovered from their possessions.

In the preliminary interrogation, police said the arrestees confessed that they had been carrying out various criminal activities in Badda and surrounding areas, keeping illegal weapons in their possession for long.

Both were wanted two more cases in the Arms and Narcotics Control Act.

Legal process is underway against the arrestees.
