AL activist arrested in Savar

SAVAR, April 8, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested an Awami League (AL) activist from Ashulia upazila here in the district last night in a case filed over killings during the 2024 July uprising.

Arrestee Mulamdi Mondal, 44, son of late Jummat Mondal, is a resident of the Changao area in Ashulia upazila.

Mulamdi is also a convict of multiple cases of robbery and drug peddling.

Savar Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Jewel Mia confirmed the arrest and said the AL activist was handed over to Ashulia police station for legal action.

Ashulia police station OC said Mulamdi has been sent to jail this noon.
