DHAKA, April 8, 2025(BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on
former Member of Parliament (MP) from Bhola-2 constituency Ali Azam Mukul,
his wife Jahanara Yasmin, daughter Amena Azam Warshi and son Raihan Abid
Omi.

Senior Special Judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court imposed the ban
following an application submitted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ACC in its application said that the anti graft body has been investigating
allegations of acquiring illegal assets and properties worth over Taka 1000 crore
against Mukul and his family through corruption and irregularities. They came to
know that the accused people may leave the country to avoid investigation as
such travel ban should be imposed against them, the application added.
