Court orders to attach a flat of ex-OC Majahar’s wife

DHAKA, April 8, 2025(BSS) -A court here today ordered to attach a flat of Laila Khan, wife of former Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jatrabari Thana Majaharul Islam. 

Senior Special Judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib ordered to attach the 2,075 square feet flat located at Ramna area with its two car parking following an application submitted to the court by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The registered value of the flat is worth about Taka 80,45,000.

Deputy Director of the Public Relations department of the ACC Md Aktarul Islam disclosed the information to the media.

The ACC in its application told the court that the anti-graft body has been investigating the allegations of corruption against former OC Majahar for his alleged involvement in acquiring huge illegal wealth beyond his known source of income. 

The investigators came to know that the illegally acquired wealth has been kept under the ownership of his wife Laila Khan by her husband. There is every possibility to hand over, transfer or sale the flat of Laila Khan to others, so the flat should be attached immediately for the sake of investigation.
