DHAKA, April 9, 2025 (BSS) - Three-time lawmaker from Noakhali-2 (Senbagh-Sonaimuri) and the Chairman of Bengal Group Morshed Alam was arrested last night from the capital city's Gulshan area.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a drive and detained Morshed Alam in connection with multiple cases.

Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (media and public relations) of the DB, confirmed the arrest.

The arrestee will be produced before the court today.
