3 RU officers held over attack on July movement

RAJSHAHI, July 17, 2025 (BSS)- Police arrested three officers of Rajshahi University (RU) for their alleged involvement in attacking Anti-Discrimination Students Movement here in July 2024 last.

Police said, the arrestees are: assistant directors of accounts Abdullah Al Masud and Anisul Haque Russel and section officer of the controller of examinations office Pankaj Kumar.

Officer-in-Charge of Matiher police station Abdul Maleque said they were arrested from RU administrative building this noon. 

“The arrestees have been wanted in cases filed with Boalia police station on charges of attacking on the students' movement in July - August, he added.
