Sena Kallayan Bhaban’s fire under control

DHAKA, July 17, 2025 (BSS) –The fire that broke out at the multi-storey Sena Kalyan Bhaban in the capital’s Motijheel area on Thursday night was brought under control with one hour's of intense efforts.

The fire originated on the 21st floor of the building around 10:40pm, media officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Anwarul Islam told BSS.

Five firefighting units from Siddiq Bazar Fire Station rushed to the place and brought the fire under control by 11:47pm on Thursday, he said.

However, no casualties have been reported so far, he said, noting that the cause of the fire could not be determined immediately.
