LAKSHMIPUR, July 17, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie today urged the leaders of political parties to be more careful while announcing programmes.

He made these remarks at a rally at Temuhani in the district town following a procession by the District Jubo Dal to protest the deterioration of the law and order situation across the country and attempts to destabilize the country through conspiracies.

“BNP is a responsible and 46-year-old experienced political party. BNP leaders also have experience in running the country,” said Annie.

“In the past movement struggle, all the political parties fought together against the fascists. I was in the field. I served in jail. I was subjected to injustice and torture. Therefore, every political party and political individual should be more vigilant and careful while giving any programme,” he said.

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's Advisory Council member Abul Khair Bhuiyan and District BNP Member Secretary Shahabuddin Sabu, District BNP Joint Convener Advocate Hasibur Rahman, District Jubo Dal President Abdul Alim Humayun and General Secretary Syed Rashidul Hasan Lincoln also spoke on the occasion.
