Cox's Bazar ready to welcome NCP leaders

COX'S BAZAR, July 18, 2025 (BSS) – National Citizen Party (NCP) will begin its Tomorrow’s July March programme to five districts in the southern region from the port district of Cox’s Bazar.

Overall preparations have been completed in the coastal district to welcome the July fighters as they are expected to reach the town tonight, said NCP Joint Member Secretary SM Shujauddin.

In a view-exchange meeting held with journalists this evening, Shujauddin said NCP convener Nahid Islam, leaders Hasnat Abdullah, Sarjis Alam, Tasnim Zara and other central leaders will reach Cox's Bazar tonight to start their scheduled July March programme in five districts including Cox's Bazar on Saturday. 

On Saturday morning, around 10 am, they will come to Shaheed Daulat Maidan of the Public Library from the central bus terminal area through the main road of the town. A public meeting will be held there. 

He said that all preparations have already been completed.

Shujauddin said people from all parties from various upazilas and unions of Cox's Bazar district have expressed their desire to gather at the bus terminal. 

Cox's Bazar District NCP organizer Omar Farukh said preparations have been made in all upazilas. 

He also said that the central leaders will exchange greetings with people and distribute leaflets along the way in Chakaria, Eidgaon and Ramu on the way back.
