NARSINGDI, July 18, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Joint Secretary General and Narsingdi District BNP President Khairul Kabir Khokon has said that the anti-liberation and fundamentalist party could not accept the London meeting.

“They could not accept the NCP either. They claim that their part is the largest one, now they have started conspiracies to divert the attention of the people to another direction," he said.

He made the remarks while speaking at a prayer gathering today, organized by Narsingdi District BNP at the Satirpara Shaheed Minar in remembrance of the martyrs of the July-August student mass uprising.

Khokon said, “A meeting was held between the Chief Adviser of the interim government and our Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman during the CA’s London visit. After discussions, it was announced that election could be held in February 2026. All political parties and the advisory council have expressed satisfaction. But we have noticed a fundamentalist party, which opposed the Liberation War, is now speaking in a different tone."

District BNP General Secretary Manjur Elahi also spoke on the occasion.

Vice President Golam Kabir Kamal, Senior Joint General Secretary Mohsin Hossain Bidyut, Joint General Secretary Khabirul Islam Babul, and leaders and activists of the party’s affiliated organizations, among others, were present.
