DHAKA, July 20, 2025 (BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today showed former Cox's Bazar-4 lawmaker Abdur Rahman Bodi arrested in a crimes against humanity case filed over the killing of Teknaf ward councillor Akramul Haque.

The three-member ICT-1 led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed the order as the prisons authority produced the former lawmaker before the tribunal.

The court also granted a prosecution plea to allow the investigation agency to interrogate Bodi next week. It also set September 23 for submitting a probe report in the case.

Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim took part in the hearing on the matter today.

Akramul Haque, former councillor of ward-3 of Teknaf municipality, was killed in a so-called gunfight with RAB-7 on May 26, 2018.
