DMP files 1,149 cases against traffic rules violations

DHAKA, July 20, 2025 (BSS) - As part of the ongoing campaign to bring traffic system under control, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,149 cases against vehicles, owners and its drivers for violating traffic rules.

DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines from July 19 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers, according to a press release issued today. 

The DMP release said that 148 motor vehicles were dumped and 41 vehicles were towed during the campaign against traffic rule violations.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on the streets of Dhaka.
