BHOLA, July 20, 2025 (BSS) –  Bangladesh Navy-led joint forces on Saturday seized nearly  2 lakh 27 thousand 800 metres  of illegal nets worth about TK  2:50 crore in Lalmohan Bazar area .

Based on secret information, the Navy personnel  with local,  civil and police administrations conducted a drive at five illegal net warehouses adjacent to the road of Lalmohan Bazar Mosque here on Saturday, said a press release of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)    today. 

Lalmohan Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Upazila Fisheries Officer and representatives of Lalmohan Police Station were present during the drive.

Subsequently, the seized nets were burnt in public in presence of the concerned officials of Bhola Sadar administration, the ISPR added.
