DHAKA, July 20, 2025 (BSS)- The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) today approved the charge sheet of a case against former state minister Mannujan Sufian and a director of the Labour Directorate Mizanur Rahman in a corruption case.

The commission approved the investigation report against the duo and asked the concerned ACC official to submit charge sheet to the court, said Director General (DG) Prevention of the ACC Akhter Hossain said.

According to the charge Begum Mannujan Sufian in connivance with others promoted an officer from serial number 16 of the gradation list depriving a candidate in serial number three defying the recommendation of the departmental promotion committee (DPC).

“She did this through criminal misconduct and misuse of power for her personal gain and gain for others neglecting the responsibility bestowed upon her as a state minister,” the DG added.

Director of the ACC Abdul Majed filed the case and submitted investigation report to the commission recently.
