BAF pays tribute to Milestone student Raisa Moni

FARIDPUR, August 2, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation from the Bangladesh Air Force today paid tribute at the grave of Raisa Moni, an 11-year-old student of Milestone School and College, who died in the recent aircraft accident in Uttara, Dhaka.

Led by Squadron Leader Md Jihadul Islam of Jessore's Matiur Rahman Air Base, the delegation reached the ancestral home of Raisa Moni in Bajra village under Gopalpur union of Alfadanga upazila around 2pm.

During the visit, they met with the grieving family members and offered heartfelt condolences. Afterwards, they performed a guard of honour and laid a floral wreath at her grave.

Alfadanga Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Russell Iqbal said the Air Force team visited the village home to pay tribute at Raisa Moni's grave and stand in solidarity with the bereaved family. Prayers were also offered for the salvation of her soul and for the quick recovery of those injured in the incident.

Raisa Moni, a third-grade student, tragically lost her life on July 21 in the aircraft crash. Her funeral prayer (janaza) was held on July 25 at Bajra Eidgah grounds in Gopalpur union, followed by her burial at the local graveyard.
