DHAKA, Sept 19, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain today laid emphasis on a stable government in the country to attract for both local and foreign investors.

"The lack of an elected government is hindering investment in Bangladesh despite major investment conferences. Without investment and job opportunities, the massive "Generation Z" youth population will struggle to find employment," he said.

He made these remarks while speaking at a discussion held at the central committee conference-25 of the Bangladesh Pharmaceuticals Representatives Association (PhaReA) at the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) auditorium in the city.

In his speech, Hossain called on political leaders, whom the people still trust, to act responsibly to maintain that trust, warning that instability could pave the way for autocracy, worsening law and order, decreasing investment, and increasing unemployment.

He urged those who have struggled against autocracy for the last 15 to 16 years to be aware and united on the question of election.
