DHAKA, Sept 19, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has provided first aid boxes to various traffic police boxes located across the capital.

Dr M A Taiful Haque, the Co-Office Secretary of the Private Medical and Dental College Chhatra Dal today inaugurated the initiative for ensuring preliminary medical care for those injured on the roads.

The programme aligns with a key organizational commitment: the pledge to ensure health for all and universal healthcare', which constitutes point 26 of the 31-point declaration announced by BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

Explaining the rationale behind the initiative, Dr. Taiful Haque stated that general people are often victims of various accidents on the road every day and police members often get physically injured while carrying out their duties controlling traffic.

He noted that the initiative's goal is to enable these individuals to receive preliminary treatment during urgent moments before they can reach a hospital.

The first aid boxes, which were handed over directly to the traffic police members, contain essential supplies including bandages, medicines and disinfectants.
