Families of road accident victims get Tk 20 lakh in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS) – The Trustee Board of Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) handed over financial assistance cheques worth Taka 20 lakh to the families of four individuals who lost their lives in road accidents in the district.

The victims were Tanzu Sheikh, Mayarani Haldar, Khadija, and Sheikh Jamil Ali

BRTA Chairman (Additional Secretary) Abu Momtaz Sad Uddin Ahmed handed over the cheques among the families of the deceased as the chief guest at a function held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner on Saturday afternoon.

Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan, BRTA Khulna Divisional Director Md. Ziaur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Shamim Hasan, BRTA Bagerhat Assistant Director Laylatul Mawa were present, among others, at the function.
