CHATTOGRAM, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS) – Chattogram Metropolitan Police detained eleven activists of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) after conducting raids in different parts of the city on Friday night and early today.

Confirming the news, the OC of Doublemooring Police under CMP said several teams of police carried out the raids after the banned BCL activists brought out a sudden procession on Access Road in Bepari Para area on Friday afternoon and hurriedly dispersed sensing police presence.

The arrested BCL members were identified as Md Imranul Haq Roman, Md Anowar Hossain, Mizanur Rahman Reaz, Abu Tayeb Raussel, Shawkat Ali, Abdullah Hossain Rajib, Sazzad, Sabbir Hossain Shawon, Hasan Murad Chowdhury Ripon, Md Saidul Islam and Haji Nurul Huda.

A case has been filed against the detainees under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
