CUCSU polls: ' Droha Parshad ' panel formed

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS)- Another  new panel called "'Droha Parshad'" has been announced for the Chattogram University Central Student Union (CUCSU) elections.

The panel consists of Bangladesh Chhatra Union and Samajtantrik Chhatra Front.

The panel was announced by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, Raihan Uddin, at a press conference on the campus this afternoon. 

In the panel, Riju Lakshmi Abrodh, General Secretary of the Samajtantrik Chhatra Front, has been nominated as the Vice President. Chhatra Union President Ifaz Uddin Ahmed is the candidate for General Secretary, and Sheikh Junaid Kabir is the candidate for Assistant General Secretary.

From the "Droha Parshad" panel, Nayan Krishna Saha is running for the position of Office Secretary, Anuttar Chakma for Assistant Office Secretary, Asad Bin Rahman for Culture and Publication Affairs Secretary, Nusrat Jahan Ipa for Assistant Literature, Culture, and Publication Affairs Secretary, and Rukmila Mumtahin Nirjhara for Student Welfare Affairs Secretary.

Candidates for various positions in the upcoming CUCSU election have been announced. Umongnaiog Chakma will run for the research and innovation affairs secretary position, Sohel Rana for social service and environment affairs secretary, Rohan Al Mahan for liberation war and democratic movement affairs secretary, S. M. Ibrahim for career development and international affairs secretary, Talent Chakma for communication and housing affairs secretary, and Rudaba Adnin Aditi for library and cafeteria affairs secretary. Bison Chakma, Jess Chakma, and Aritra Rahman will contest as executive members. 

A total of 10 panels, including Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal and Islami Chhatra Shibir, will participate in the election.
