No new Covid-19 cases reported in 24 hours: DGHS

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate General of Health Services(DGHS) today reported that no new Covid-19 infections were detected across the country in the 24-hour period ending at 8 am Monday.

According to a DGHS press release, only six samples were tested during the period, yielding a 0 percent positivity rate.

No deaths from Covid-19 were reported during this time, keeping the total number of fatalities unchanged at 29,531 since the pandemic began in 2020.

The first Covid-19 case in Bangladesh was detected on March 8, 2020, while the first death from the virus was reported on March 18 of the same year.
