DHAKA, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested six fraudsters involved in defrauding money from the people by promising them to give jobs at different public organizations.
 
The arrested have been identified as Sohel Rana alias Milan (33), Tayyab alias Mok (46), Md. Sajib Munshi (44), Shamim Ahmed (45), Md. Mawlazi Ali Khan (52) and Sohel Rana alias Jinnah (37).
 
A smart intelligence team of the RAB-4 arrested the six including the ringleader of the fraud gang in a raid at Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Monday.
 
RAB conducted the raid after it received a complaint that one Sohel Rana impersonating him military major, took Taka 5 lakh from a person by promising him to give his younger brother job in the Ansar, said a RAB press release.
    
One private car, seven mobile phones, and Taka 95,200 in cash were seized from their possessions during the operations.
