NARAYANGANJ, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested nine individuals from Demra, Sarulia and Fatullah in connection with a robbery at an under-construction DPDC power substation in Fatullah, Narayanganj.

The arrested have been identified as alleged ringleader Md Liton, (37), Akter Hossain, (44), Roman, (32), Riaz, (38),Saidul Islam, (31),Rafiqul Islam, (28), Sagar Munshi (38), Md Arif (26) and Shahidul (40).

The nine were arrested in separate raids at Dhaka's Demra and Sarulia and Fatullah of Narayanganj district, said a press release. 

Looted equipment and truck used in the robbery, two toy pistols, two knives, a machete, and 12 mobile phones have been seized during the operations, he said. 

The robbers committed the daring robbery on Sunday in a DPDC power substation in Fatullah by holding the security guards at gunpoint, and looted electrical equipment worth around Tk 65 lakh.
