Rabius Sani Moon sighted: Fateha-e-Yazdaham on Oct 4

DHAKA, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - The moon of the holy month of Rabius Sani 1447 Hijri has been sighted in the sky of Bangladesh today, according to the National Moon Sighting Committee. 

The committee made the announcement this evening after a meeting at the conference room of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. 

Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs AKM Aftab Hossain Pramanik presided over the meeting.

As per the announcement, the month of Rabius Sani will commence from Wednesday (24 September) and accordingly the holy Fateha-e-Yazdaham will be observed across the country on October 4 (11 Rabius Sani, 1447 Hijri).

Members of the committee, along with representatives from the Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh Meteorological Department, SPARRSO (Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization), and field-level offices, reviewed moon-sighting reports from across the country.
