DHAKA, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today said there is no compromise with the fallen fascist Awami League.

"We must remain alert to ensure that those who have previously cooperated with the Awami League do not attempt to change their stance, said Rizvi after paying tribute at the graveyard of BNP founder Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

Rizvi, who was accompanied by leaders from the new convener committees of Pirojpur and Barguna district BNP, urged party members to stay united.

"There are ongoing conspiracies against us. The party must be strengthened at the grassroots level so that people continue to support the Sheaf of Paddy (Dhaner Shish) in the upcoming elections," he added.

The senior BNP leader also criticized the government's handling of the recent incident in New York.

"If the government had shown competence, the allies of fascism would not have dared to create such an incident abroad. The government's failure to act effectively has allowed these elements to continue their activities, even on foreign soil," he said.

Regarding allegations of an assault on BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in New York, Rizvi denied any such incident. "No one attacked the Secretary General. These are false and baseless propaganda campaigns against him," he claimed.

He alleged, "The ACC is so powerless that it has failed to recover any stolen assets or bring corrupt individuals back to the country. It's practically invisible in its role."

He further highlighted the leadership of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, praising their contributions to the party.

"After Khaleda Zia was imprisoned, Tarique Rahman led the party with a nationalistic vision. He organized the party both domestically and internationally and engaged the youth in the struggle for democracy. Tarique Rahman's efforts to motivate the youth and bring them to the streets will never be forgotten. It will remain a key part of our history," Rizvi said.

The event was attended by several BNP leaders, including Barguna District BNP convener Nazrul Islam Molla and member secretary Humayun Hossain Shahin, Pirojpur District BNP convener Nazrul Islam Khan and member secretary Saidul Islam.
