HSTU announces its student union polls on Nov 6

DINAJPUR, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS) - The administration of the Hajee Mohammad 
Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) in Dinajpur has ordered to 
take measures for organising the upcoming student union or HSTU Central 
Students' Union (HUCSU) elections on November 6. 

Md. Khademul Islam, director of the Public Relations Department of HSTU, 
confirmed the announcement at 3.30 pm today, saying that a formal notice 
regarding the elections was issued from the Registrar's Office at 2:30 pm. 

He said the students have been protesting in front of the administrative 
building of the university since yesterday afternoon demanding the 
announcement of a roadmap for organizing the HUCSU elections. 

In this regard, the students held several rounds of discussions with the 
university administration. In view of this, the university administration 
issued a notification regarding the announcement of a possible roadmap for 
organizing the HUCSU elections this afternoon. 

HSTU Registrar Professor Dr. Abu Hasan said a notification in this regard 
signed by himself was issued here on Wednesday. 

The notification said that the authorities will take all measures to hold the 
university's student council elections on November 6, subject to the approval 
of the statutes related to the student council by the Chancellor in 
accordance with the Hajee Mohammad Danesh University of Science and 
Technology Act.
