BCS, BJC entrants conclude military orientation course: army

   DHAKA, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS) – A group of new officers of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) and Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS) have completed their six-week military orientation training, an army statement said here today.  

   It said 61 BCS officers, of them 12 belonging to BCS administration cadre, 17 to police, three to ansar and 29 from BJS took part in this year’s training.

   Army’s Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant General Mizanur Rahman Shamim joined the closing ceremony of the training course as the chief guest at Army Multipurpose Complex at Dhaka Cantonment.

   Rahman distributed certificates among participants and delivered the closing speech.

   The Bangladesh Army conducts a "Military Orientation Training" course for BCS and BJS officers to foster better understanding and a working relationship between the military and civil administration in both war and peace situations.

   Officials familiar with the course said it was introduced 9n 1984 as a structured training programme that provides participants with knowledge about the Bangladesh Armed Forces.
