DHAKA, Sept 25, 2025 (BSS) - The newly appointed chief of the Anti-Terrorism
Unit (ATU) of police Additional Inspector General Md Rezaul Karim, today said
the criminals would not be spared.

He also alerted all about possible criminal activities, saying, "We need to
keep a watchful eye on whether someone is suddenly going astray."

Regarding the recent deportation of 10 Bangladeshi people from Malaysia on
suspicion of being militants, he said, "Each one was interrogated separately.
They are all from the working class. Nothing like that was found in their
case. That is why the Malaysian government 'cleared' them, leaving one."

Rezaul Karim took over as the ATU chief on September 11. Before that, he was
the Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner.
