DHAKA, Sept 26, 2025 (BSS) - Police today arrested two alleged criminals and recovered crackers from the city's Basabo area under Sabujbagh Police Station.

The arrested are Md Rakib Hossain, 27, and Md Mahbub, 20, said Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media and public relations division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

In this regard, he issued a press release and said a team of Sabujbagh Thana Police conducted a raid at North Basabo area at about 9:45am and arrested them.

Different cases were pending against Rakib under the Narcotics Control Act with Sabujbagh Thana, he said, adding, "Legal action is underway against them."
