CHATTOGRAM, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS)- Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) 
arrested Hasan Ullah Chowdhury, convener of Patiya Upazila Jubo League, from 
Sugandha area in the city on Friday night. 

The arrest was made by the Panchliash Thana police, a CMP release said here 
today.

Hasan Ullah Chowdhury, a follower of former Patiya lawmaker and Whip Shamsul 
Haque Chowdhury, is facing charges for attacking students and the public. 

He went into hiding after the Awami League government was overthrown in a 
mass uprising on August 5, 2024. 

According to Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Patiya Thana Md. Nuruzzaman, there are 
several cases against Jubo League leader Hasan Ullah Chowdhury at Patiya 
Police Station, including charges of sabotage and vandalism. 

He will be formally arrested in connection with these cases, he added.
