Adviser Farida visits Durgabari Puja mandap in Mymensingh

DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter today visited the Dashbuja Bigraha Temple Puja Mandap at Durgabari in Mymensingh, ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations.

During the visit, she was accompanied by Dr. Anuradha Bhadra, Director General of the Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute, Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Mufidul Alam, Superintendent of Police Kazi Akhter Ul Alam, and Sharadiya Durga Puja Celebration Committee President Bikash Roy, along with other local officials and dignitaries.

The adviser exchanged greetings with leaders of the puja celebration committee and took note of the ongoing preparations and arrangements at the mandap. She commended the organizers for their efforts and assured them of full government support to ensure that the Durga Puja festivities can be held in a peaceful and joyful environment.

Farida Akhter emphasized the importance of maintaining communal harmony and cultural inclusivity during religious festivals, reaffirming the government's commitment to upholding the spirit of unity and celebration across communities.
