Valiant FF, journalist Anisur Rahman dies

DHAKA, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - Former Madaripur Press Club President and 
valiant freedom fighter (FF) Anisur Rahman passed away this morning. 

He was 75. 

He breathed his last around 10:30am today at his Kulpuddi residence in 
Madaripur town.

Anisur Rahman served the Bengali dailies Prothom Alo, Dainik Bangla and 
Bhorer Kagoj as Madaripur district correspondent.

He is survived by his wife, daughter and a son.

Rahman was buried at his family graveyard at Madra in Madaripur district 
after Asr prayers with due State Honour.

His first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Al Aqsa Jame Mosque at Madra in 
Madaripur town while the second one was held at Madra High School and College 
ground after Asr prayers.

Rahman was the founder and maiden principal of the college.
